Joining the Qpon Revolution…

About a year ago, Qpon Revolution started placing machines in businesses and restaurants around central Arkansas that would allow customers to come in and receive digital coupons on the spot.
Gabriel Mayes, president and chief operating officer of the company, said Qpon Revolution had some success with that approach but is after bigger game these days thanks to an Apple iPhone app (available here) that was launched at the end of February. Small Business Saturday a first

Tomorrow brings the perfect trifecta shopping experience to Americans as the first ever Small Business Saturday is recognized.
According to the site http://smallbusinesssaturday.com, Small Business Saturday is an event created through a joint effort between American Express OPEN (the company’s small business division), several advocacy organizations and other private and public entities.
Small Business Saturday is designed to be like Black Friday and Cyber Monday except for the focus is-you guessed it-small businesses.

Bargains Galore on 64 starts Thursday

The annual Bargains Galore on 64 is set for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, (Aug. 12-14) running 160 miles from Beebe to Fort Smith.
The 11th year for the event, organizers say that shoppers come from around the country to seek out bargains. This year, they are predicting larger crowds and more vendors.
While this shopper likes the sales spaced out all along the roadside on Highway 64, I have also found some extreme bargains at garage sales located just off the main drag during the event. My best advice is to hit …
