4 Arkansas schools receive federal improvement funds

LITTLE ROCK – Four schools in Arkansas will receive a combined $7.5 million in federal grants to help improve their schools.
According to a press release from the Arkansas Department of Education, Central High School (Helena-West School District) and Dollarway High School (Dollarway School District) will each receive $1,987,425; Jacksonville High School (Pulaski County Special School District) will receive $2 million; and Marvell High School (Marvell-Elaine School District) will receive $1,516,827. The schools will receive the money during the 2011-2012 school year.
