Brandon’s Rock Town Distillery — an Arkansas company makes good

It’s always fun to brag on an Arkansas business.
Phil Brandon opened his Rock Town Distillery in downtown Little Rock less than a year ago and the company is already making a name for itself. Brandon said it was his intention to use Arkansas ingredients to create top-shelf liquor and it appears his company is doing just that.

The scrappy crew at Little Rock’s own Rock Town Distillery has a new product — Arkansas Lightning — and you’re invited to the release party on Saturday (Jan. 29).

Rock Town Distillery — an all-Arkansas business

Phil Brandon, an Alltel Wireless executive turned distiller, is on the verge of producing liquor from Rock Town Distillery in Little Rock.
The company and its four employees claim the business is the first legal distillery to operate in Arkansas since Prohibition. Brandon hopes the new enterprise will be a hit in Arkansas and beyond, stating that his liquor will be manufactured with grain bought in Stuttgart and bourbon will be aged in barrels made in Hot Springs.
