While the 13th annual Arkansas Poll finds the state’s residents more concerned about the economy than ever, 74 percent of respondents expressed optimism about the direction of the state. Approval ratings of public officials were mixed heading into an election year.

Former Arkansas Sen. David Pryor’s dream to share Arkansas’ visual history is making new progress. Work is now under way to organize and catalog the 24,000 hours of video donated by Little Rock television station KATV to the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History at the University of Arkansas. The collection is currently stored in a climate-controlled environment at the Arkansas State Library. The archive includes early videotape news coverage and film dating back to …
Millions of dollars will be funneled to various agencies, programs and organizations throughout Arkansas, according to several announcements made Thursday and Friday.
The announcement came via press release from U.S. senatorial and congressional offices including: Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, and Representatives Marion Berry (AR-01), Vic Snyder (AR-02) and Mike Ross (AR-04).
