Well, we got that completely wrong…

Last week, we reported that our Lum and Abner comic strip would appear weekly in the Saline Courier starting on Sept. 11.
Sept. 11 came and went and the comic didn’t run. Rather than compound our error, we decided to not print a thing about the delay until we found out for sure what happened. Lum and Abner coming to ‘Saline Courier’

It was a great day for us here at First Arkansas News.
Why? The Saline Courier — a newspaper based here in Benton — made the decision to publish our Lum and Abner comic strip every Sunday. It goes without saying we’re pleased as can be that the Courier will start running the strip. That paper is, after all, in our backyard and we’ve heard from a few fans of the Lum and Abner old time radio show that they’d love to read the comic strip but aren’t too keen on …

‘Lum and Abner’ headed to Mena

Here’s something that’s got us at First Arkansas News happy as can be — the Mena Star has agreed to run our Lum and Abner comic strips every week.
We see that as a pretty major development for a number of reasons. First of all, it’s great that Lum and Abner fans in that part of the state can pick up the comic strip in print. Second, we’re negotiating to add the strip to other papers, but were really interested in having a presence in Mena — Lum and Abner developers …
