Obama explores refinancing — again

HARP extended to 2012

Last month, the national Mortgage Bankers Association was out lobbying for the extension of the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP).
The group got its wish. The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced this week that HARP will be extended for one year to June 30, 2012. What is HARP? Mortgage Bankers ask for HARP extension

The Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) is set to expire at the end of June and the national Mortgage Bankers Association has asked the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) to extend it until the end of 2012.
