Two compressed natural gas stations to open in Arkansas

The Arkansas Energy Office announced it is issuing grants totaling $470,000 to pay for to compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations in Arkansas.
Satterfield Oil Company will receive $235,000 to add CNG to an existing station on Oak Street in Conway and the City of Little Rock will receive $235,000 to add CNG to an existing fueling station at 9th  St. and I-30, a news release states. Fayetteville-based company receives $3.9 million in Recovery Act funds

FAYETTEVILE – A Fayetteville-based company, Arkansas Power Electronics International, is set to receive nearly $4 million in federal funding for an energy-related research project.
According to a press release issued by the U.S. Senate’s press office on behalf of U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, the money comes from Recovery Act funds and will be used for a research project that aims to make significant advancements in the way the U.S. uses energy.
