The new Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is now open! It’s been a long awaited and much anticipated opening in Northwest Arkansas. The museum sits in a ravine just northeast of Bentonville’s popular Downtown Square. Years of work has gone into the museum and grounds, and let me just say they have done a phenomenal job!!

So if you’re new to the area, Bentonville hosts an event every 1st Friday from the months of April to October. It is an all day event located right on the downtown square. Easy to find and packed with many different fun activities. I took my camera with me for the June First Friday event and these are what caught my lens…

Two communities will be having an icy celebration this Saturday, literally. Both Bentonville and Little Rock will be holding opening ceremonies for their respective ice-skating rinks. Bentonville’s new ice rink will be a splash pad park in the summer months and is located at Lawrence Plaza, 214 NE A St.; and Little Rock’s ice rink will be at the River Market.
According to the City of Bentonville Parks and Recreation department, Saturday’s celebration schedule is as follows:
