ROGERS—When most people think of fasting, the image of abstaining from eating enters their mind. While that’s one form, there are other ways to fast.
The one-day seminar “Practicing the Fast: Taking Yourself Out of the Equation” will explore the idea of fasting and how it can be used to encourage and enhance one’s faith in God. The event, open to women throughout Northwest Arkansas and surrounding area, starts at 9:30 a.m. April 9 at the Global Outreach Center Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers. Meet Cari Kaufman of Lowell. She’s written a book called Living Life with Strings Attached, which is a book targeting “women who want to deepen the relationships around them,” she said.
