It’s been a heck of a week on a number of levels here in Arkansas.

According to a survey released by Connect-Arkansas.org shows that 68 percent of Arkansans have access to high speed Internet at home or work and that 30 percent of us here in the Natural State use our cell phones or other mobile devices to access the Internet.

Spending from the grant will include:
• $28 million to construct fiber optic network routes to serve community colleges
• $22 million for telemedicine equipment for hospitals, clinics and home health sites
• $5 million for network equipment for community colleges
• $24 million for connectivity lease charges for participating sites
• $23 million for network infrastructure
