Arkansas metro home sales up in June

The City Wire in Fort Smith has posted its June Arkansas Homes Sales Report for four metro areas in Arkansas and sales numbers continued to climb during that month.
The report covers the four largest metros in Arkansas — central Arkansas, the Fort Smith area, the Jonesboro area and northwest Arkansas. Except for the Fort Smith area, all metros reported gains in sales for June. Furthermore, sales for the six months of 2013 were up 9.57 percent compared to the first half of 2012. Central Arkansas homes sales down in October

Cooperative Arkansas Realtors MLS (CARMLS) released its housing market report today, showing that homes sales in central Arkansas were down again in October.
The issue at hand, of course, is the expiration of the tax credits for first-time and repeat buyers. Those credits expired at the end of April and buyers were initially given until the end of June to close on homes in order to be eligible for a tax credit.

Central Arkansas homes sales down in September

For the fourth month in a row, the sales of new and existing homes were down in central Arkansas.
There were 527 single-family, residential homes sold by Realtors through multiple listings services in Faulkner, Grant, Lonoke, Perry Pulaski and Saline counties in September — down 33.54 percent from 793 sales in the same month a year ago.
Through September, 6,057 homes were sold in central Arkansas — down 3.29 percent from 6,263 houses sold though the third quarter of 2009.
