NEW YORK: Three actresses filed a new lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein on Friday alleging sexual assault and urged other victims of the disgraced Hollywood producer to come forward and join their complaint.
The lawsuit was filed in NY by three women, including one who says Weinstein raped her at a Manhattan hotel in 2011.
The suit comes after Weinstein entered a not guilty plea following a NY grand jury's indictment on Thursday that included two counts of rape and one criminal sexual act.
Thompson went to a follow-up meeting with Weinstein at a restaurant at the Tribeca Grand Hotel that same day, and the meeting quickly moved to a hotel room, the suit says.
In the new lawsuit, filed on Friday in the US District Court in Manhattan, Ms Thompson said Weinstein touched her inappropriately as she was trying to show a product at his office.
None of Weinstein's lawyers are named as defendants but Harvey, his brother Bob Weinstein, the now sold The Weinstein Company, Miramax, and even The Walt Disney Company are all named as complicit in Harvey's years of misdeeds.
It comes a week after Weinstein was arrested on NY state rape and criminal sex act charges.
Vance revealed that an investigation into Weinstein's alleged crimes "remains active and ongoing" and slammed what he described as Weinstein's "recent assault on the integrity of the survivors and the legal process".More news: Trump floats replacing NAFTA with bilateral agreements with Canada, Mexico

"She knew that Weinstein might and would destroy her if she complained about his sexual misconduct", the lawsuit stated.
The producer has largely retreated from the public eye since the allegations were made but has denied numerous claims.
As for Brafman, he left room to walk back his own claims, saying that if Spiro ever had spoken with or met these women, he'd done so on his own time after leaving Brafman's firm for another.
Harvey Weinstein is facing another rape allegation in a new class action lawsuit that was filed this week.
"I never have and I never would represent Harvey Weinstein", Spiro continued.
Brafman said his client intends to "vigorously defend against these unsupported allegations that he strongly denies". The suit adds Brafman & Associates to the list of Law Firm Participants in the Weinstein Sexual Enterprise that violated RICO.
She says he agreed to make a deal, but wanted to meet her for a drink later at a Manhattan hotel.
She handed over audio and video evidence of harassment to Spiro and later found out that Brafman was on Weinstein's defense team, the suit says.
