According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners are preparing to put in an offer for Belgium worldwide Marouane Fellaini.
Arsenal have made a surprise move to try to sign Marouane Fellaini and will hold talks with the midfielder on Wednesday.
Reports in France suggest that Arsenal are scheduled to meet with Marouane Fellaini this week over a potential free transfer.
Before United's campaign had ended, Jose Mourinho was confident that Fellaini was close to signing an extension.More news: Dele Alli talks up Harry Kane partnership

The 30 year old Belgian has proven to be a useful player to have amongst the ranks, but the Brazilian Fred's arrival at Old Trafford will mean he's pushed further down the pecking order or surplus to requirements. The fact he is available on a free transfer is also attractive to Arsenal given they are understood to have a transfer budget of just £50m this summer after spending heavily in the last two transfer windows.
The Belgium global is out of contract after five years at Old Trafford and free to negotiate with interested clubs.
Fellaini, who now gets £80,000-a-week at Manchester United, reportedly wants an improved contract from the suitors and Arsenal might very well hand him that.
Fellaini, who made his name at Everton, is now away with Belgium's World Cup squad and is not expected to make any decisions over his future until he returns from Russian Federation next month.
