As a team, the Warriors shot 49 percent from the field and 16 of 38 from the three-point line but this game was all about the second half where the Warriors outscored the Rockets by 64-25. Paul suffered the injury in the final minute of the Warriors' Game 5 loss in Houston last week. What they don't always need to do though is attack that mismatch off the dribble and expect the player with the ball to score. Throw in some bad defensive communication errors by the Warriors, and the Rockets were raining threes in the first half - 11-of-22, with Gordon going 4-of-4.
Thompson's second-half outburst - reminiscent of his landscape-changing Game 6 showing against Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the West finals two years ago - lifted the Warriors to a 115-86 victory Saturday, giving the league two Game 7s this holiday weekend.
"There was just no way", Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said. "So you take him away from them, it's a huge loss for them", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.

If the Rockets are going to continue this short rotation then they need to find a better time to get their players rest. Except, this time the Rockets did a much better job of turning those misses and turnovers into transition points (the Rockets averaged two points per possession on the break in the first half). Why would any team in its right mind let him shoot even more?
While Houston is a minus-54 for the series through six games, they are plus-13 at home, which is the site of Game 7. "Probably if any of those three disagree, he's probably not going". After gutting through with a game-winning shot that helped the Los Angeles Clippers beat the San Antonio Spurs in their first-round series in the 2015 National Basketball Association playoffs then Paul missed the first two games of the Western Conference semifinals against the Memphis Grizzlies with a strained left hamstring. Meanwhile, the Warriors came out cold on offense.
It just took a lot of pressure from a Rockets team to get Golden State into that mental frame of mind. It requires nearly flawless basketball, but the Rockets have found success in this series and should have some ideas as to how to attack Golden State.
