Passengers can be seen clapping and cheering as Garcia is escorted through the airport.
Kaitlin Waters, who was heading back home on the flight, said: "I was towards the front and already on the jet bridge, but multiple police had to tase this guy multiple times before he was dragged off". They said after he was moved to a different seat by flight attendants, he began using racial slurs. According to the arrest report, Garcia continued to resist efforts to move him from the aircraft to a police vehicle.
News reported that police said the American Airlines flight was bound for Chicago when the victim's boyfriend informed staff that Garcia was touching his girlfriend.
In the video, the man can be heard asking three police officers, "What is the reason you're removing me from this plane?" When he asked why he was being deplaned, one passenger responded, "Well, you just assaulted a lady, for one".
Garcia, of the Portage Park neighborhood in Chicago, has been charged with one count each of battery, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, depriving an officer of a firearm, and criminal mischief.

Police said Garcia reached for an officer's handgun at one point and kicked the driver's side rear window of a police vehicle, causing about $150 in damage, WPLG reports. At first, the taser did not affect Garcia and he attempted to take the taser away, but it eventually worked and the officers were able to take Garcia into custody.
Mr Ennis told the Mirror: 'We all had to deplane in order to get him off. As officers tried to pull him up, they say he grabbed Desroches' gun. "The same passenger was subsequently arrested by law enforcement", read a statement from American Airlines.
The statement says during that process, a physical altercation broke out between the two passengers. He then became combative with officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department.
