Following hot on the heels of the wild success of the new Nokia 3310 past year, HMD, which holds the license to make phones using the Nokia name, has today announced a reboot 8110 - which is perhaps better recognised as mobile phone from the Matrix.
The Nokia 8110 will run on KaiOS by Nokia and will be capable of running HTML apps.
The Nokia 7, for its part, boasts of a 6-inch, 2160 x 1080 pixel display, stretched to an 18:9 aspect ratio, and a dual-lens 12 MP + 13 MP rear camera with Zeiss optics; with a body made of aluminum, polished to make it resemble ceramic.

Being a high-end premium smartphone, the new Nokia 8 Sirroco comes with a bunch of advanced technical features. It feels nice in the hand, with slightly more pronounced curves on its Gorilla Glass 5 frame, and a slightly smaller 5.5in form factor with a pOLED display that will certainly please anyone who feels that phones have "just got too big". The company may announce the color variants of this phone on a later date. It is powered by a 1500 mAh battery, giving it an incredible 25 hours of standby time.
Finally, the Nokia 1 is the range's entry-level option, with basic specs and a cheap price tag to match. Nokia 8110 has a 2.45-inch QVGA colour display.
As in last year's 3110 reissue, those longing for a nostalgic experience will also be able to play an updated version of Nokia's classic Snake game on the 8110. The phone has 3 GB of LPDDR4 memory and 32 GB of internal flash storage. It also has support for USB-C fast charging.
Samsung - The Korean tech giant unveiled the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, the latest versions of its flagship Galaxy line of phones. HMD can decide to not launch any devices in the U.S. or conversely may even announce some carrier partnerships. So those looking for long battery life might be fine with the weight, especially as Nokia touts two-day battery life. The self-facing camera is a 5-MP unit, and the main rear camera configuration is the same dual-snapper setup from the 7 Plus.
