In July previous year, Modi visited Israel as the first Indian Prime Minister since the establishment of bilateral ties in 1992.
During his terms in office as prime minister - in 1996-1999 and from 2009 till now - Netanyahu has visited Russian Federation 12 times.
India and Israel have deep defence and security ties, and Netanyahu's four-day visit beginning January 14 is likely to further strengthen them.
The visit will include New Delhi, Gujarat and Mumbai.
Now trade between the two countries is around 5 billion United States dollars, of which three billions is for exports. Technion-Israel Institute of Technology would also be signing an agreement with Ministry of Science and Technology, sources in Jerusalem said.
Israel's Saare Tzedek hospital would be signing an agreement with India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as well.

Netanyahu, accompanied by his wife Sara, would be travelling to Agra to see the Taj Mahal on Tuesday and return to Delhi to participate in the Raisina Dialogue.
The two leaders, who hit it off during Modi's visit to Israel in July previous year, the first by an Indian prime minister since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1992, would visit two centres of excellence and inaugurate another such facility.
Modi would be accompanying Netanyahu to Gujarat on Wednesday where he will be welcomed in the same fashion as Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was with a "road show" in Ahmedabad. They will also visit the iCreate innovation campus and centre.
According to an Ahmedabad civic body official, a joint roadshow on an 8 km stretch from the city airport to the Sabarmati Ashram is also on the cards.
The Israeli prime minister will have a number of engagements in Mumbai on January 18.
In Mumbai, Prime Minister Netanyahu will meet Jewish community leaders and select members of the Indian business community. He will also reach out to Bollywood in an exclusive "Shalom Bollywood" event.
