In a note shared late in the night December 18, 2016, the remaining Fifth Harmony members claimed Cabello had informed them of her decision to leave the group "via her representatives". As for solo plans, Cabello added, she actually wanted to remain a Harmony member while exploring solo work. "It definitely hurt my feelings", the 20-year-old told the publication.
Amusing thing, though. As she worked on the album past year, buoyed by the success of her collaborations "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly and then "Havana" with Young Thug, the questions didn't seem important any more.
"I was just curious and I wanted to learn and I saw all these people around me making music, writing songs and being so free", she explained. "I wasn't expecting it, I wasn't prepared for it-especially because at that point I'd moved on from it". So she made her choice, basing it on what she said was her conviction that "if anyone wants to explore their individuality, it's not right for people to tell you no". Then the more I got into the year, it just was better. "Why?'" Camila said to The New York Times as tears filled up her eyes.More news: Prayers for Jessica go internet-wide as life support turned off

While she asked to assist in songwriting for Fifth Harmony, Cabello's request was declined. I was just like, 'What?
Fifth Harmony's performance of "Down" and "Angel" at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards was probably the group's most memorable on-stage experience of all time, not because it was particularly groundbreaking or anything like that, but because it was shady AF. "I have to make space for the good stuff to happen in my life. If you pull from all the different little parts of yourself, nobody can replicate that".
Revealed this week, Billboard reports that the song is having the longest run on the Pop Songs chart since Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" in 2013. And I love them together but they were super cool.
