With nothing left to play for and health at the forefront of Philadelphia's concern, the Eagles sputtered in a awful, lackluster loss to their hated rival on home turf.
Cowboys: Awuzie left the game with a shoulder injury.
The offense's sluggish play might frustrate fans who clamored for a better performance after the team put up a season-low 216 yards in a win over the Raiders on Christmas.
Both of those things matter a great deal, especially after watching Nick Foles play quarterback over the last two weeks. The Eagles got their first third-down conversion midway through the third quarter. Thankfully, everything looks good heading into their playoff bye week. It's unwise to rip Doug Pederson much for this result, especially since the defensive backups played as well as they did. The offense went three-and-out on the first unit's fourth and final series.

Second-year pro Nate Sudfeld replaced Foles and was 19 of 23 for 134 yards in his first career game.

In a meaningless game played in freezing temperatures, the Eagles' inactives list was littered with precautionary deactivations. With Foles, the offense is more limited.
