These two highlights are a piece of Instagram's push to give clients a chance to spare their stories for later utilize and provide them with another stage to speak to their profiles. Plus, you can now create Stories Highlights so other people can relive it too. Archived Instagram posts and Stories will be viewable here and only the user is able to see these posts.
Instagram continues to build upon Stories, adding new elements that make it worth using. Your highlight will appear as a circle on your profile that can be played as a stand-alone story. You will see a new Stories archive alongside your Posts archive, with the most recent stories placed at the bottom of the grid.
Instagram is also extending its Stories feature with a new Stories Highlights capability. To create a Stories Highlight, tap on the "New" circle on the far left, and choose any of the stories from your archives. The new features will be available in version 25 of Instagram for Android and iOS. As it sounds, the archive lets you save your past Stories beyond their traditional 24-hour expiration date. All the Stories you post will be automatically saved to an Archive section when they expire.More news: IPL 2018 Auctions: Retention Policy explained

Highlights stay on your profile until you remove them, and you can have as many highlights as you'd like. To access the archive, click the clock icon in the top-right corner of the app. It might have seemed silly going through the work of shooting Stories and jazzing them up with captions and stickers if they'd disappear the next day.
Both the new features are all set to enrich the story content. Moving forward, your stories will automatically save to your Stories Archive. This lets users revisit and reuse their old video clips. Users will receive a notification when Stories Archives kicks in, letting them opt out of the feature. If you don't like it, you can turn off auto-archiving. If you have comments regarding the new update do share them below in comments section. In another move to copy the app, Insta has yet again taken a prominent feature and capitalized on it in their latest update.
