Computer models are painting two scenarios for Friday, according to the weather service in Huntsville, with one suggesting there will be light precipitation across north and parts of central Alabama, when high temperatures will make it only to the 40s. Sunny and cool weather sticks around through the upcoming weekend with another possible freeze to start the morning on Sunday. And temperatures could be cold enough for the showers to fall as snow or a rain-snow mix around daybreak. This should time out nicely for the West Alabama Christmas Parade tomorrow night.
We will see increasing clouds today ahead of a warm front.
This evening, expect a continued chance for showers and possibly even a thunderstorm before midnight. "The models disagree on how much we may see but the consensus is less than 2" all areas as of right now. Then temperatures will tumble through the evening hours with a steady light rain. Highest temperatures of 12 or 13 degrees with fresh to strong southerly winds, which will veer northwesterly as the rain clears.
Saturday will be cold and mainly dry with sunny spells and again temperatures will struggle to rise about 3-6 degrees Celsius. We will also likely wake up to a heavy frost Friday morning. Another shot of cold will keep highs in the twenties. especially if we get a little snow on the ground. The change to colder air will happen in three stages. The heavy snow will expand into parts of the Upper Great Lakes overnight Monday and early Tuesday.More news: US Special Counsel Robert Mueller has subpoenaed Donald Trump's Deutsche Bank records
