The Xiaomi Redmi 5A has been launched in Indian with a introductory price of Rs 4,999 for the 2GB/16GB variant, making it the cheapest smartphone Xiaomi markets in India. Both the smartphones run the Android Nougat OS out-of-the-box but the Redmi 5A is topped with the company's latest MIUI 9 that gives it many new features such as the new Mi Video app, Split Screen, app shortcuts and more. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS.
Just a day after the launch of Xiaomi's "Desh Ka Smartphone", Redmi 5A, domestic brand Micromax introduced the Bharat 5.
In comparison, the Nokia 2 retails for Rs 6,999 while the Micromax Bharat 5 at Rs 5,555.
On the purchase of Micromax Bharat 5, customers will get 50GB free data. Under this plan, any new or existing Vodafone user who buys Bharat 5 will be eligible for 10GB free data every month for five months.
