Authorities arrested a North Carolina man in connection to the disappearance of his girlfriend's 3-year-old daughter.
- The Onslow County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation made an arrest late Friday in connection to the disappearance of Mariah Kay Woods, 3, missing since Monday. WITN is reporting Kimrey is the live-in boyfriend of Mariah Woods' mother.
Kimrey, who was in the Onslow County Detention Center on a $1 million bond, faces charges of concealing a death, obstruction of justice, second-degree burglary, larceny and possession of stolen property.
Earl Kimrey, who lived with Mariah and her mother, was taken into custody by investigators at the Onslow County Sheriff's Office on Friday. "The searches will now shift to a recovery process", the statement said. Kimery told her the little girl woke up and he told her to go back to sleep.
She was allegedly abducted from a home on the 2400 block of Dawson Cabin Road in Jacksonville, according to an Amber Alert issued Monday, when she was reported missing.
Mariah's family has been cooperating with investigators and additional charges could be filed in the case, authorities said. Once they realized she was missing, the couple said they called authorities.
"We all hope and pray to find her alive, but it is still extremely important we find her".

As the search for Mariah intensified, questions swirled about the story told by Mariah's caretakers.
The girl's mother made tearful pleas for her daughter in the days after she disappeared sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
Searchers targeted a creek and a landfill in their effort to find a 3-year-old North Carolina girl missing since the start of the week.
The FBI says more than 700 people came to join in the search for a missing North Carolina child. "We have got to bring her home", Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller said at a Saturday news conference.
The FBI says they have been sending "items of interest" to their lab in Quantico, Virginia, for priority testing in the case.
The girl is shy and has an orthopedic leg problem, her grandmother said, according to CBS News.More news: Dem leaders scrap meeting with Trump after 'Chuck and Nancy' tweet
