The most popular Strategy game, StarCraft 2 is going to be available for absolutely free with its free-to-play version and now open to everyone.

Morten stressed that Blizzard isn't adding any secondary currencies or additional microtransactions to StarCraft 2 in order to support the game's new free-to-play model.
BlizzCon is an annual convention held by Blizzard Entertainment to promote its major franchises such as Warcraft, StarCraft, Hearthstone, and Overwatch. Wings of Liberty, the first chapter of the epic sci-fi saga, is now free. The players of the game has to unlock this feature by achieving 10 "First Wins of the Day". Once the change goes into effect, the vast majority of StarCraft II's original release will be entirely free-to-play for everyone.
Of course, new players who get the game for free can also purchase the other two campaigns: Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void.
You'll still have to pay for the StarCraft II expansions Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, and Nova Covert Ops ($15 dollars each, of $40 for all three), but that's still a lot of free content!
Not too long ago, some Battle.net owners received free copies of Starcraft 2 for seemingly no reason, but most gamers weren't among the lucky few who got these copies. Commanders Kerrigan, Raynor and Artanis will be completely free as well but all other commanders will only be free up to level five. This ensures that the quality and integrity of the ranked experience is intact.
