"Kevin Spacey is taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment", his representatives said in a statement to Business Insider. "In response to last night's revelations, executives from both of our companies arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported".
Spacey's accuser told Vulture he met the actor when Spacey was working as a guest teacher at a weekend acting class he attended in 1981, when he was 12 and Spacey was 22.
On Monday, Spacey responded to the accusation and said while he didn't recall the encounter, if he acted the way Rapp said he owes him the "sincerest apology".
"No other information is available at this time", he added and he declined to share where and when the treatment will be done.More news: Trump Jr.'s Halloween tweet about 'socialism'

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has revoked an award it was going to give Kevin Spacey, a decision made after allegations that he made sexual advances on a teen boy. Spacey is said to have invited many a young male actor to the Old Vic to "talk about their careers".
On Wednesday, another man came forward and told Victoria Derbyshire of the BBC via a video link in which his face was not visible that he too was harassed by Spacey when he was a teenager in the 1980s in NY.
'We are committed to a Harassment-Free Workplace and a comfortable work environment for all of our employees'.
Streaming service Netflix, saying it was "deeply troubled" by Rapp's allegation, subsequently said that production of the upcoming sixth season of its Golden Globe-winning political drama House of Cards, starring Spacey, was being suspended and that the show would end after the sixth season.
Since Rapp spoke out, an unnamed man says he was left "traumatised" as a teenager when he allegedly woke up to find Kevin Spacey lying on him whilst a number of other men have accused the Hollywood actor of sexual assault.
