In a tragic scene that seems nearly right out of the series itself, a "veteran location manager" for Narcos Season 4 was shot to death in rural Mexico, according to El Pais, a Spanish-language daily newspaper. He was reportedly found riddled with bullets in his auto in a remote area near Hidalgo, which is known to have one of the highest murder rates in Mexico.
The murder has raised doubts on whether the production will continue in Mexico or move back to Colombia where the show was originally shot. He was a seasoned scout and worked for Stacy Perskie's Mexico City-based production company Redrum.More news: Trump demands ESPN apologize for Jemele Hill's tweets

The El Pais story continued: "The facts that led to the death of Muñoz Portal are not clear".
Mr Portal is reported to have been killed on Monday, but the news of his death only broke last night (SAT). That entity, the most populated of the country, is the one that has more homicides. Authorities are reportedly having trouble piecing together what happened leading up the Portal's death, and police are still investigating. That works out to a ratio of 12.2 for every 100,000 inhabitants.
"We are aware of the passing of Carlos Muñoz Portal, a well-respected location scout, and send our condolences to his family".
