There's no shortage of media reports listing which groups are taking donations, often with scant guidance about what kinds of relief these organizations can offer. We have seen pictures of people sitting on top of their roofs waiting for help, people wading through very high water seeking higher ground and boats looking for people to evacuate. The Red Cross is mobilizing its disaster partners to support feeding, child care, disaster assessment and other disaster services.
