Trump's "bone spurs" were not referenced in the health report from Trump's doctor during the presidential campaign.
Richard Blumenthal on Monday, the CT senator refused to lose focus of the special counsel investigation into Trump's campaign's ties to Russian Federation during last year's election.
Blumenthal, 71, was the center of controversy when in 2010 he spoke about his military service.
At a press conference Monday, Blumenthal said the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller is on a "collision course" with the president, and that Mueller needs autonomy. Judging from Blumenthal's comments, it appears that at least one Senator believes that's what he's trying to accomplish. And it is not the first time Blumenthal's military record has come under scrutiny, either.
While there are many who would agree with President Trump's assertation of Senator Blumenthal's record, many called him out for being hypocritical when his own record of service in Vietnam has been under fire.
"Never in U.S.history has anyone lied or defrauded voters like Senator Richard Blumenthal", Trump continued. "He cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness like a child", Trump wrote. Blumenthal, a Democrat, has introduced legislation that would prohibit Trump from firing Mueller, a prospect that has been floated by some in the administration and their supporters. In those instances, he had been commenting on how veterans like himself were treated upon their return to the United States. During his campaign, it emerged that he had spoken about being "in Vietnam", but never actually saw combat during that war. McMahon was his Republican opponent.
"Anthony Scaramucci's ouster may show that John Kelly has the rare ability to rein in Trump", The New Yorker predicted last Monday.
Blumenthal responded in much the same way he did three months ago. "What I do know is I will not be distracted by this bullying", Blumenthal said. He tweeted out telling Trump that his bullying had not worked previously and was not going to now. And uh, they simply reinforce, in fact, the need in my view for special counsel legislation.
The deferment was one of five Mr. Trump received during Vietnam.
President Donald Trump fired back at Sen. The panel could prevent the firing if it were determined not to be the case. Another bill to protect the special counsel was introduced by Sens. Richard Blumenthal in a Twitter tantrum after the lawmaker criticized him on CNN.
Besides denying his campaign team had any complicity with Russian Federation during the 2016 elections, Trump highlighted as achievements the stock exchange figures, border security, military force, employment, the naming of a Supreme Court justice, economic enthusiasm, deregulation, all as issues that have united his grassroot support, and pointed that will never change.
