A fiery Argentine defender in his playing days, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino blew off a little steam when asked about Antonio Conte's recent comments about his side.
"Maybe today they have a bit of an advantage and are ahead of us because they signed players and keep the players they want".
In his first game against Spurs, a match City won 3-0, Walker was resoundingly jeered and as far as Pochettino was concerned he understood why but doesn't feel it's indicative of the majority of those who follow the Lilywhites. "But I think Tottenham fans love him and he spent nine years at the club".
In Manchester City after the failure of last season is an expensive change of scenery, the recent players base nearly free of charge the team Guardiola, and they are replaced by players for a lot of money. It's a spontaneous feeling they showed but it's not personal, it's not a big issue.
Walker, who featured 39 times in his final campaign with Spurs, is thought to have cost the Citizens an upfront fee of £45m to sign.
The PFA Young Player of the Year scored 23 goals last season to help Spurs finish runners up behind Premier League champions Chelsea.
"I told you for me that Harry Kane is one of the best".

On the subject of Winks and Dembele, Pochettino added: "You need to understand that Harry Winks was injured and is getting fit".
"Be sure we will move in the market to try to improve the squad. It's true that it's so early and we're calm because our squad is competitive". "Yesterday it was a tough training session and we knew it would be hard to compete with City, who have a lot of quality".
"That is a good signal for us, that other clubs are talking about our players".
"We pushed a lot to train to train and develop our physical condition".
"We will see what happens".
Spurs took on their Premier League rivals in Nashville with the two touring the United States this summer.
