Chili’s pitching in to help Searcy Goodwill store

By: 25 June 2013 No Comment

GoodwillThe Goodwill store in Searcy was destroyed by a fire and a temporary one was set up within a week. No one was hurt in the fire and that is fortunate. What is not fortunate is that the store must be rebuilt and nonprofit, charitable organizations such as Goodwill aren’t exactly known for maintaining large building funds.

Chili’s restaurants throughout Arkansas are stepping in to help by donating 10 percent of their proceeds on Wednesday, June 25, to Goodwill in support of the Searcy rebuilding effort. All Chili’s restaurants in the state are participating in the “give back” effort, but there is one proviso — diners must present a flyer when dining at a Chili’s on Wednesday in order to participate in the event.

You can download a copy of the flyer here.

What is Goodwill? Goodwill Industries of Arkansas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the mission of providing education, training, and employment services for people with disabilities and other disadvantages. Revenue generated through the sale of reusable donated goods at Goodwill retail stores and fundraising efforts is used to fund these critical programs for Arkansans.

So, stop in at your local Chili’s on Wednesday and help out Goodwill’s efforts in Searcy. You’ll be glad you did.
