Weekend OTR: Crime Does Not Pay

By: 31 May 2013 One Comment

Crime Does Not PayIt’s Friday night once again and you know what that means — its time for another dandy installment of our Weekend OTR series.

What’s on tap for the weekend? We’ve got a crime drama for you — a piece of Golden Age of Radio goodness called Crime Doesn’t Pay. This one just seemed appropriate right now, considering the shenanigans of former Arkansas State Treasurer Martha “Pie Fan” Shoffner. Remember — “crime does not pay” isn’t just a slogan. It’s an outright truism.

Before you listen to this week’s program that, why not take a minute or two and visit the good folks at You’ll find a huge selection of old time radio programs over there and prices that are hard to beat. Oh, and don’t forget to come back every Sunday and check out the latest Lum and Abner comic strip posted here at First Arkansas News. We’ve got a new one of those every weekend and it’s just the thing for you old time radio fans — new adventures starring a couple of Arkansas boys who became international stars during the Golden Age of Radio.

Having said all of that, click the below link to listen to this week’s program.
