Weekend OTR: Halls of Ivy — Dr. Hall’s Reappointment

By: 13 August 2011 One Comment

Here in central Arkansas, this is the last weekend before all the kids will excitedly head back to school.

In honor of the back to school mania that’s sweeping the state, we at First Arkansas News are celebrating the coming school year by posting an appropriate episode in our famed Weekend OTR series. Yes, we’re talking about a ‘The Halls of Ivy” episode — a comedy/drama starring Ronald Colman as the president of a college. Hey, the series was sponsored by Schlitz, so you just know it had to be good, right? Don’t let that Schlitz sponsorship scare you — “The Halls of Ivy” was entertaining stuff, so enjoy the show.

Before doing that, however, make sure to visit the group that sponsors our Weekend OTR series — our friends over at OTRCat.com. Look around the site and you’ll almost certainly find a great deal on your favorite old time radio programs.

Oh, just a couple of other things to keep in mind. The latest Lum and Abner comic strip is up, so click here to see that. And if you’ve not checked in on the Super Weasel Lawyer Team in the past few days, click here to listen to the latest installment of our own modern audio theater series.
