Weekend OTR: Casebook of Gregory Hood — South of the Border

By: 16 July 2011 One Comment

Another weekend and another installment in the Weekend OTR series here at First Arkansas News.

What on earth could be better than that?

What’s on tap this weekend? A private eye story — a little something from the Casebook of Gregory Hood. Yes, that hardboiled detective types were a staple of old time radio entertainment all those years ago and thank goodness for that — a lot of great characters emerged during those decades and Gregory Hood is one of them. No, the series wasn’t as popular as others in the genre, but it’s still a great one and well worth a listen.

As always, this weekend’s episode is courtesy of our friends at OTRCat.com. If you love old time radio, pay The Cat a visit. The customer service is always great and something’s always on sale.

By the way, if you haven’t yet seen our unique contribution to the legacy of old time radio, click here to visit our Lum and Abner comic strips page. That series is updated on Sundays, so stop in every weekend to see what’s going on down in Pine Ridge. For those looking for a bit modern audio theater, make sure to give our Super Weasel Lawyer Team series a listen. Hot dog!
