Weaselmania grips ‘First Arkansas News’

By: 2 July 2011 9 Comments

Yes, the day has come at long last — the first two episodes of the Super Weasel Lawyer Team are posted and ready for your listening pleasure.

What’s the Super Weasel Lawyer Team? What’s the series all about? Simply put, this was a concept dreamed up by First Arkansas News founder Ethan C. Nobles and scripted into a coherent form by Edwin E. Smith (a First Arkansas News contributor and all around swell guy). Throw in some actors from the Royal Theater in Benton — Randall Earnest, Mason Newberry, Allen Wright and Debbie Wright — to provide the voices for the weasels and related characters and you’ve got what we hope is a series that will take America by storm.

Bear in mind we’ll build a page for all these episodes and will add more in the near future (keep on the lookout for the debut of another series or two in the months to come). Given how much time we’ve dedicated to posting old time radio shows and even turning Lum and Abner into comic strip characters, come up with a bit of modern audio theater seems like something we at First Arkansas News ought to be doing, huh?

At any rate, it’s time to listen to a couple of episodes of the Super Weasel Lawyer Team. In the first episode, the team seeks the answer to a question important to the history of the firm — is their father worth more dead or alive? Click the below link to listen to the fun:

SWLT Episode One — Weasels, Weasels, Everywhere

In the second episode, the weasels encounter a new nemesis — Hypnoto, the Hypnotist of the Future! Click the below link and give that one a listen:

SWLT Episode Two — Hypnoto Cometh

Again, we’ll produce more episodes when we get around to it and are even gearing up to produce another fun-filled series.

Got an all-consuming case of Weaselmania yet? If so, you’d probably like a tee shirt or dandy mug to obsess over, wouldn’t you? Well, you’re in luck because it’s easy to pick up some fancy items at the Super Weasel Lawyer Store. If you want to pick up some unique items and support the group that’s putting these shows together, head on over to the store and spend until it hurts (here’s a hint — the stuff over there makes for great gifts).
