‘Weaselmania’ to hit nation, world in one week

By: 25 June 2011 One Comment

On July 2, we at First Arkansas News will release the first two episodes of the Super Weasel Lawyer Team here at the site and on iTunes.

Yeah. Pretty exciting stuff, huh? Some of you might be wondering what the Super Weasel Lawyer Team is and what’s so great about it, so it seems an explanation is in order.

Simply put, it’s our attempt at something similar to an old time radio show. While it might be a bit more “PG” than the typical “G-rated” OTR programs we post on the site every weekend, it’s a project we hope both fans of traditional old time radio and people who like modern audio theater will enjoy. The series came about as First Arkansas News founder Ethan C. Nobles wanted a vehicle through which he could make fun of attorneys (Nobles was a lawyer until he ran screaming from the profession in 1999) and Edwin Smith was only too happy to lend his scripting and story development skills to the project. Throw in some voice actors from Benton’s Royal Theater and we’ve got something we hope people will enjoy.

Should the Super Weasel Lawyer Team prove popular, we’ve got some ideas for other programs in the works and we hope to produce those, too. Stay tuned.

Benton resident. Rogue journalist. Recovering attorney. Email =
