Big Thermos Media — for all your advertising needs
For the past couple of months, First Arkansas News has been working on a plan with an advertising representative and we’re just about ready to put that plan in motion.
Plan? Yes, a plan. The concept here is pretty simple — Big Thermos Media has been formed as a company that represents a few local Internet and print publications for the purpose of securing advertising. We’ll mention who, exactly, those other publications are once the agreements are signed and everything is good and official. Furthermore, we at First Arkansas News will profile each of those sites so that both our audience and potential advertisers can get better acquainted with them.
Without giving too much away, there are at least a couple of things about the aforementioned plan that should be of interest to advertisers. First of all, the sites that have tentatively agreed to sign on with Big Thermos Media pull in thousands of visitors daily. All of our sites hold their own in terms of traffic, but collectively pull in a staggering number of visitors. Our purpose, then, is to offer advertisers the chance to reach visitors coming to each of our sites for one, competitive rate. The emphasis here is on efficiency — why advertise with just one publication when you can hit several that are getting a lot of traffic for a price that is very reasonable?
Second, we’ve got a great advertising representative coordinating our efforts. Her name is Darlene Devers — the advertising and marketing director for Big Thermos — and she’s got about 30 years experience in sales. She sold print and Internet ads for The Commercial Appeal in Memphis for a few years and is very qualified to help advertisers find a way to reach their target audience through the sites represented by Big Thermos Media.
Ah, but there’s more. We have the ability to design advertisers for those businesses that need those services.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the publications that will be represented by Big Thermos Media are diverse in terms of content and regional focus — a couple of those publications (like this one) cover events throughout Arkansas while some stick with what’s going on in central Arkansas.
Again, more details will follow in the coming days, so check back often for announcements as the plan unfolds. Meanwhile, we encourage all potential advertisers to get in touch with Devers and ask her what ad packages she can put together for them. Click here to send her an email and get the ball rolling.
