Arkansite — social networking for Arkansans

By: 8 January 2011 3 Comments

For those of you who have been looking for a social networking site for Arkansans, your search may well have come to an end.

Why? may well be just the thing you want. Membership is free and Shelli Russell — who also owns the ridiculously popular — set Arkansite up as a gathering place for Arkansans wanting to share news, meet other people from the Natural State, post photos and video and generally hang out with people who also live in and love our little state. Russell has, essentially, taken the formula that has grown the county-centric MySaline so well and is applying it across the entire state.

First Arkansas News can be counted among the fans who have enjoyed Russell’s efforts to provide both Arkansas and Saline County residents with sites that cater to their interests. In fact, we at First Arkansas News have reached an agreement with Russell through which we’ll share some content with Arkansite. That’s what we call a “win-win” situation — our writers always love to reach a larger audience and we also love those arrangements that could bring more traffic to this site. Hopefully, Arkansite’s members will find the variety of content that First Arkansas News cranks out daily useful.

Click here to pay Arkansite a visit — don’t miss out on the fun and take advantage of the ability to discuss Natural State issues with other Arkansans.
