Something new…

By: 14 December 2010 No Comment

In an attempt to make this site more well rounded, we’re starting a new series here at First Arkansas News.

What’s the deal? What kind of series? What’s it all about? Well, that’s pretty simple — we’re adding some religion columns.

Specifically, we’ve got an Assemblies of God minister, a Baptist preacher and a couple of Methodist pastors committed to providing columns from time to time. Why? Well, that’s a component that’s been pretty well absent from this site and we’d like to be inclusive.

The first column is already up and it’s from Larry Davis, a good friend of ours and the pastor at Little Rock West Assembly of God — click here to read what he’s written. His columns will appear monthly.

The other ministers will start sending in columns soon. The frequency, topic, length and etc. are up to them, so who knows what we’ll get in the months to come?

Still, those columns should add a nice little dimension to the site and I’m thankful the pastors have agreed to supply them. How thankful? It’s our goal to have those columns sponsored and turn part of the proceeds over to the churches those pastors call home.

At any rate, stick around to see what more new things we’ve got in store around here. We’ll start adding new features and series before long in an attempt to post up enough diverse content so we’ve got a little something of interest for everyone.
