Crystal Bridges to open 11-11-11
BENTONVILLE-Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will open in one week short of a year, officials announced Thursday. The public opening will be Nov. 11, 2011.
Don Bacigalupi, Crystal Bridge’s executive director, provided an update on the museum’s progress Thursday during the monthly meeting of the Arkansas State Parks, Recreation and Travel Commission held at the DoubleTree Guest Suites and Convention Center in Bentonville.
According to the museum’s website, Crystal Bridges was founded in 2005 by the Walton Family Foundation and is “positioned to play a major role in Northwest Arkansas’ continued economic and cultural expansion. The Museum will serve the region’s residents as well as draw visitors from around the nation and the world.”
