Weekend OTR — Philip Marlowe: Red Wind

By: 26 June 2010 No Comment

Get this and get it straight. Crime is a sucker’s road and those who travel it wind up in the gutter, the prison or the grave.

Ah, good old Philip Marlowe — a character dreamed up by the way talented Raymond Chandler. Marlowe was a hardboiled that shared a lot in common with other characters that graced old time radio (OTR), yet he was a bit tougher, a bit more cynical and bit more popular than most competitors.

As is our custom, we at First Arkansas News are happy to put up a fine OTR episode to make your weekend just a little more enjoyable. This episode, as always, is brought to you by our friends at OTRCat.com.

At any rate, click the below player to check out a great OTR episode — Van Heflin, by the way, was really on his game in this one.
