Interview with Monty Davenport, Democrat running for Arkansas Commissioner of State Lands

By: 7 June 2010 No Comment

We’ve already made a fuss over L.J. Bryant and now it’s time to hear from Monty Davenport.

Davenport, a state representative from Yellville, can’t run again for his current office due to term limits. So he’s running for land commissioner. Davenport faces a June 8 run-off election against L.J. Bryant and the winner of that race will go on to face Republican John Thurston in the November general election.

Bryant and Davenport both escaped the May 18 primary, leaving Democrat Mike Berg as the odd man out in that race.

Click here to listen to an interview with Davenport. When you’re done with that, click here for an interview with Bryant I put together for the Arkansas Realtors Association.

Don’t worry — a podcast with Thurston will be up very soon.
