Facing foreclosure? Charney says you have rights
April Carrie Charney, senior staff attorney at the Jacksonville, Florida, Area Legal Aid, presented a program to housing counselors attending the Preventing Foreclosure Seminar in Fayetteville on April 22. The event, held April 22 and 23, was put on by Legal Aid of Arkansas.
Charney said consumers have a well defined set of rights that can be used to defend against foreclosures and was at the seminar to inform attorneys, housing counselors and Realtors of those rights.
