An interview with Pat O’Brien – Democrat running for Arkansas Secretary of State’s office

By: 30 April 2010 No Comment

Pat O’Brien, the Pulaski County clerk, is running for the Secretary of State’s office.

O’Brien faces Doris Tate and Mark Wilcox in the May 18 primary. The winner of that race will face Republican Mark Marin the November general elections.

O’Brien has a lot to say about voter fraud and the necessity of marking Arkansas more “business friendly.” Click here to listen to a podcast featuring an interview with O’Brien. Click here to listen to our archived podcasts.

You can visit O’Brien’s campaign site by going to PatObrienForArkansas.com.

The Secretary of State’s office is open  is this year as Charlie Daniels, the incumbent, can’t run again due to term limits laws. Daniels was the commissioner of state lands prior to being elected secretary of state in 2002 and he’s now running for auditor of state with no major party opposition.

We’ll have more interviews with candidates before long, so stay tuned!
